Student Drop-Off & Pick-Up Procedure

For the sake of everyone’s safety, families are reminded that our drop-off location is only the large loop that passes by the Field House.  See red-line in the image above. Students may not be dropped off in the bus loop, the tennis courts, or any parking lots.

Families are also reminded that the same after school pick-up location is the same process.

Thank you for your cooperation!

Class of 2027 Progressive Dinner

Class of 2027 Families,
We’re thrilled to announce that the Senior Class Progressive Dinner will take place on the night of Saturday, November 7th from 5pm to 8pm.  The Tandon family, the Loveless family and the Feitelberg family have generously volunteered to host the event.

The Progressive Dinner is a long-standing WHS tradition—a chance for seniors to share a fun, food-filled evening together before the busy months ahead. This event is open to ALL SENIORS and is FREE OF CHARGE.

FOOD CONTRIBUTIONS
WE NEED YOUR HELP with this undertaking! This is a potluck-style event, and the food will be provided by students, similar to a team dinner. We have divided up the class into three groups alphabetically by last name for food assignments. Each dish should serve about 12 people.  If you do not want to cook we could use cups, plates and cutlery.

Appetizers: A–G
Main Course: H–P
Desserts: Q–Z
The sign up genius for food will be available shortly.

Information from the Health Office

Wayland High School is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all students, especially those with life-threatening allergies or asthma.
Students who require EpiPens or asthma inhalers should carry their own medication at all times to ensure immediate access to treatment. A backup EpiPen or inhaler may be stored in the Health Office if desired.
In order for students to carry and self-administer their medications, we must have a current physician’s order and/or Emergency Action Plan (e.g., Emergency Health Care Plan for EpiPen administration or Asthma Action Plan), as well as parental authorization. These forms must be updated each school year and are available on the Wayland Public Schools website or from the Health Office.
Please note:
  • Students and/or parents/guardians are responsible for checking the EpiPen or inhaler for expiration and proper function.
  • Students with life-threatening allergies or asthma must bring their rescue medications on all field trips and after-school activities (clubs, athletics)
  • If you need assistance obtaining an auto-injector or inhaler, please contact our office.
Completed forms should be returned to the WHS Health Office as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please contact us at 508-358-3712.  Thank you for partnering with us to keep your child safe and prepared.

A Message from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health

As many across the state prepare for the 2026-2027 school year, we encourage families and caregivers to vaccinate their children. Please see the joint statement linked below from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) and the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (MCAAP) endorsing the AAP-recommended immunization schedule.
