The purpose of the mathematics department is to provide a sound, contemporary and comprehensive mathematics curriculum that offers each student an opportunity to realize their potential as a critical and logical thinker. The department strives to provide experiences that stress the concepts and skills necessary for success in today's society as a citizen, student, worker, consumer, and provider.

The Wayland High School Math Department strives to prepare our students to be critical thinkers and problem solvers. We offer a breadth of math and computer science classes that foster this growth in our students.  Central to our goals is a challenging, accessible and equitable education for each of the students in our community.
