WHS Friday Message

From Principal Allyson Mizoguchi

June 26, 2026
Happy Summer to all! This past Tuesday, we celebrated the end of the school year with our first-ever Last Day full of activities offered by WHS staff. Students signed up to make pizza, take nature walks, create art and jewelry, play sports, and learn a variety of new skills. The day wrapped up in the theater with a rousing “Lip Sync Battle” hosted by Mr. Berry and Mr. Parseghian that left everyone upbeat and geared up for summer! I wanted to offer my sincere thanks to my colleagues for supporting a range of fun activities for our students, and to our students who brought such positivity and joy to the day.

As we close out the school year and turn our attention to summer and beyond, I wanted to express my gratitude for the students, families, and staff who make WHS such a special place. The combination of curious, compassionate students, supportive families, and dedicated staff is a magical one that makes our community unique and that I personally treasure. I wish everyone a restful and restorative summer break!

Celebrations

  • We extend our best wishes and congratulations to WHS retirees Janet Pappas (Math Department) and Kitty Smith (Library) for their years of dedication to the WHS community! Both of these amazing professionals positively impacted the lives of countless students during their time with us, and we are grateful for their contributions and service.

  • This year’s edition of the WHS Reflector Yearbook is a beautiful celebration of our students’ experiences throughout the year, featuring pictures, stories, and highlights from literally every corner of campus life. Congratulations and thanks to Editors-in-Chief Aubrey Calabro and Kate Goodman, advisors Ms. McGillis and Ms. O’Connell, and the entire Reflector staff for creating such an impressive, inclusive tribute to the 2025-26 school year!

  • Congratulations to senior Ryan McCormack and junior Sazie Wrentmore who competed at the New Balance Outdoor Track Nationals in Pennsylvania last week! Ryan finished 5th overall in the nation in the decathlon and earned All-American honors, ending his high school career with a 1st place finish in the 1500m (the final event in the decathlon) and a personal best with a total point score of 6643. Sazie finished 24th overall in the 400m hurdles and 40th overall in the long jump. Kudos to these two student athletes for competing with the nation’s best and representing WHS in this exceptional way!

Year-End Grades

Year-end grades are now finalized in PowerSchool. To view and print report cards, click on “Student Reports” on the left-hand side of the main page in PowerSchool; then, click on “2025-2026 Final Report Card.” We recommend that you save and/or print for your own records.

Student Schedules for 2026-27

Here is a last reminder of the memo that I sent earlier this month regarding next year’s student schedules. We will share our progress with you in a mid-July message.

Have a fantastic summer!
