WHS Friday Message

From Principal Allyson Mizoguchi

June 12, 2026
It has been a very memorable week at WHS! Exactly a week ago, the grand Class of 2026 crossed the stage to receive their diplomas amid much well-deserved fanfare and celebration. We were delighted to host many families, friends, staff, and alumni at our ceremony (and it didn’t rain!). WayCam’s recording of Graduation 2026 can be found at this link. Congratulations to our graduates – we will miss you!

This past week has been a busy one as classes wrap up and students prepare for final assessments. In addition, multiple spring teams made deep postseason runs. Hearty congratulations to our Boys Volleyball team, who last night won their first D2 State Championship! A full spring sports update can be found linked here, courtesy of Athletics Assistant Erin Ryan.

Last Days of School Information

  • Students and families have been emailed a set of directions about laptop return. Students should return their laptops in the library any day next week after they have backed up their files.

  • On June 23, our last day of school, we will hold a morning of activities hosted by our WHS staff before early dismissal at 12:15 p.m. The broad assortment of activities includes pickleball, wilderness skills, games, and various arts & crafts. This past week, students requested their preferred activities; they will receive a schedule on June 22.

  • A reminder that the last days schedule looks like this:
Wed. June 17: Science final exam
Thurs. June 18: Math final exam
Mon. June 22: Regular dismissal @ 3:10 p.m.
Tues. June 23: Last day/early dismissal @ 12:15 p.m.

Bus schedules will be posted outside the main office and throughout campus.

Student Schedules for 2026-27

I wanted to call attention to the memo I sent to students and families earlier this week regarding next year’s student schedules. While our schedulers are working extremely diligently, there has been a delay due to unforeseen challenges with our new scheduling software. Thank you for your patience!

Enjoy the weekend!
