Wayland Community Action Network (WaylandCAN)

Monday, March 30 ~ 7:00-8:30 p.m.
Wayland High School Theater

Wayland Community Action Network (WaylandCAN) is thrilled to host a night with Dylan Marron, an award-winning writer, producer, and viral TED speaker, on how to stay in conversation across difference - drawn from years of actually doing it.

Dylan is the creator and host of the Webby Award–winning podcast Conversations with People Who Hate Me, where he called the people behind some of the most hurtful online comments directed at him and asked them to talk. The series was praised by USA TodayThe GuardianFast Company, and the Associated Press for its powerful exploration of empathy, conflict, and human connection. His TED Talk, “Empathy Is Not Endorsement,” has been viewed millions of times worldwide, and he is also a writer on the critically acclaimed series Ted Lasso.

Please join us for an unbelievable evening of connection, laughter, and community.
This free, community-wide event is open to ages 11+ and includes 30 minutes of audience Q&A — the moment where the talk turns into something personal and practical.

WaylandCAN was formed in 2023 in response to hate incidents in Wayland, MA, with a mission to foster connection, dialogue, and belonging. This evening is an invitation to listen, ask honest questions, and leave better equipped to keep talking with neighbors when it matters most.

Please join us for an unbelievable evening of connection, laughter, and community.
